Guess which one was in the trap today?  Anybody know how to 'Break the Cycle of 'Possum'?

Well I'm guessing you got the grinner. When you find out how to keep the grinners out please let me know

Well, the cat did have four hours to make his decision before the possum took the bait. Maybe somebody has an idea to entice the cat in sooner?

Yep.  How many Wetside cat trappers feel visuals like feathers etc. are key to closing the deal with bobcats?  I'm not using them yet this year.

Mercer Lawing (www.cagingbobcats.com) says that a piece of feather boa in the back of the cage and some light skunk scent are heavy hitters with cats. He has caught a few. Lol.

The cats I've seen caught came to a big old chunk of beaver hanging in the back of the cage.

Beaver in the back and put a piece about the size of a wall nut right in front of the opening
I do think some feathers or a CD hanging from some fishing line does help  and take some beaver castor and put some up a little high so the wind catches it

:yeah:  That is some good advise, I don't hang feathers but I do throw a handful in the trap and some outside.
The only way I know to keep the possum out is to go to a higher elevation where the don't live.

This is the story of my cat trapping this year... except I have a possum that has devoured 4 quarter of a beaver and I  have not yet caught him!!

We all suffer from the possum curse, I guess! This was my fifth possum of the year. I ate the last two, but this one was too old for that. And he didn't want to go...
