I can't wait for next season. I had such a good year this year I passed on some really nice deer and should have tagged a brute but had too much fun just watching him. Did not fill my tag but that doesn't bother me at all. I saw some amazing deer and enjoyed my time in the woods. Hopefully next year they will be back and even bigger. Here are just a few pics of the animals I saw and watched walk.

Well ive pretty much got the same story , saw some great bucks , but after the big cat came through nothing but does, I was kinda down about it all until I opened my wifes Christmas present , im now the proud owner of a pair of danner boots that ive wanted for years ,we could never afford them but a gal at north forty did a years worth of payments im told so she could swing it , the smell of tag soup has quickly dissipated, that darn 3x4 will be there next year I know because he is a smart one , he moves without making a sound, I watched him after dark moveing in on the left over punkins , it was crunchy snow , I heard the doe to my left but I didn't here him at all , suddenly there he was thirty yards out in the dark and snow, wow really a cool moment, I as well didn't get a shot but had a great time, not hrd to say ILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR ALSO !!!!

So I've never really been a person for whitetails. But maybe it's because all of the guys on the outdoor channel and whatnot have spoiled it for me by hunting those freaky ugly ones. After seeing those trail cam pics you posted, however, I started to drool. So thank you for that.

Your welcome! It seems like I go through phases of watching hunting shows. I always want to give them a try and after watching a couple i just cant do it anymore. Keep trying to find a good one but i dont think there is such a thing. Glad you liked the pics I should put more up but I would have to do some searching through the couple thousand I got this year. :)

It takes some folks a while to catch on to the fact that those shows are the result of hours , days , weeks , months of prep and scout before the camera is even turned on, not to mention the drain sponsored bank accounts, what they all amount to is something that will probably not happen anwhere near any peramiters that we are aloud in,there for they are just that ( I N C E N T I V E !!! ) So I watch them for just that in the off season, witch by the way ive discovered could be another part of that sleep depervation thing,so im thinking about reavaluateing that, with those early elk magazine articles,,, ITS A WAR INSIDE MY HEAD !! Good to know im not alone , everytime I get on this jikkerbox , absolute riot, so I wont be letting that go for sure, well headed off to the mighty Columbia to get some of those tough guys that made it threw the hot summer, get out there !! :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

Haha, well i didn't necessarily pass on them all. I was after the one with split eyegaurds and tried to do a stalk on him but blew it. Here is a pic of him in velvet.
