My guess: A driving tax, where you pay by the mile. In addition to all of the existing gas taxes, because the government just doesn't have enough money.

There are supposed to be two initiatives concerning CO2 emissions for 2016.
Hopefully both of them involve him keeping his co2 emmisions at zero until his term is over. :tup:

OK, I'll play.According to the "studies" if you drive a truck/SUV 1000 miles a month and get 15 mpg you'll be pocketing almost $8 a month with the mileage tax vs the gas tax. If you get 18-20 (don't recall exact number) you'll break even. They're leaning towards three methods for tracking. 1) Self reporting your mileage. 2) some sort of tracking device 3) paying a flat rate.

I've read before that Tom Steyer (billionaire that contributed most to Inslee and Obama) has been pushing Inslee hard for carbon control. Probably getting frustrated and going the initiative route instead of the legislature. :dunno:

With all the new Chevys being sold with On Star devises in them, they already have the tools to track you. But is you live along the border, say in Vancouver, and you do most of your driving in Oregon, say you work in Portland, who do you send your taxes to?

They want us all to be broke I swear, seems like we work to give all of our earnings right back. "Drive to work, but pay us for it!" "Drive to get groceries, pay us for it!" "Drive to the doctor, pay us for it!" WHAT A TRAVESTY! :bash: We will all work till we die at this rate, and there will be no "retirement" for our children or grandchildren, modern day slavery. Maybe, but it won't last long. After a few years, people on here will be saying. Look, we have to appease these people or we will never win the election. We have to ban semi auto weapons and handguns or they will just try to take them all.
