Where do they winter? Would we be able to access it to show the wife?
-
Don't know about Snoqualmie Pass but you can see them on the West facing cliffs of Mt Si. Might be hard right now cause the snow level is down to about 1000-1500 feet. They could be below that level. Go to North Bend and turn at the Chevy dealer. Drive til you cross the Middle fork of the Snoqualmie river then turn right on Moon Valley road as if you were going to the blue berry farm. Find a place to park and start looking.

I've been stuck in the rock blasting sitting on the bridge over Gold Creek where it hits Kecheelus and we were glassing them with spotting scopes up on Rampart Ridge only a short distance from the road. If I know it right geographically, it would be the east ridges above Gold Creek. I can't recall for sure that that is exactly where they're at.

I shot my goat in 1992 on rampart ridge

The only ones that i have seen is a mom and a kid on the west side of the pass just above the highway.

Just looked on google the Rampart Ridge. NICE!! Hows the hike in the summer? Any good fishing? Now that we are almost empty nesters we are going to spend more time hikinng together, that looks like a nice spot. Plus she can see her first goats.

Here is a pick of my goat way back in the day in the now closed Pratt River.
Goat was shot on the Russian Butte in 84. There is a road that goes up to Granite lake, but it is been locked for many years.
