Title: Rhinehart Rhino Block
Post by: gutsnthegrass on January 04, 2016, 11:47:04 AM: Does anyone have one of these targets? Just wondering about durability. I have a block that held up pretty well until this year and needs to be replaced.

:yeah: WAY better than the open layered targets like Black hole

I am just getting into Archery, I am located in Bellingham. Thanks for any tips.

Post by: tjthebest on January 04, 2016, 10:00:29 PM: I got the rhinehart 18-1 on camofire.com last year. It was considered a blemished one. Meaning the paint was a little misaligned during production . It was only $85. I saw blemishes at Cabelas too. I would wait til these pop up again.

Post by: lokidog on January 04, 2016, 10:23:10 PM: I've got a Rhinehart as well and have been happy with it. Broadheads will eat it up though when the slices cross each other. A few shots to verify impact with target tips doesn't seem to be a problem.

Agree. It's worth the cost for it's durability. Here's mine I put into a home made frame to 1. Get it up higher and 2. Put triple layered carpet "around and below it" for when my friends come to shoot :chuckle:. I've replaced the core once in four years and I shoot quite a bit.

Rory's setup works quite nice. Better even still is the wooded shooting range he has cut in to the trees so you get the diffused like sound and smell of being out there getting it done.
