So after years of anticipation I finally have the time, weather, and equipment to accomplish a coyote hunt that I have wanted to do. The main part is having vehicle access to vast timber lands combined with having a capable coyote rifle and shotgun and a climbing tree stand. For years I have tried this from the ground but so much of the area is really hard to hunt from the ground because it is so thick or back in the timber. The couple times I have been able to climb a tree has worked amazing. Now I have a climbing stand so I can go so many places in a better set up than before. I want to get in several sets in a day. Go from one area to another without taking an hour walk between each spot. There is A LOT of prime spots at the ends of skid roads and such that I can drive to. I planned on driving up to 400-500 yards from the spot, or farther wherever I can stash the truck. Then walk in quietly the rest of the way and set up. Some times I have seen coyotes near logging roads not care about vehicles, but that's always early in the fall or late summer. What do you figure? is driving the gravel a big risk at spooking them too much to call them in? I figure its probably just something I will have to try and see, but was curious on others opinions.

If you drive then bike in you can really cover some ground and get back to the truck faster. Sounds like a good plan with the stand

They're so used to vehicles, typically they run off the road 100 yards or so and watch (listen) to the car go by then on to whatever it was they were doing. At most it's a 5 minute interruption to their routine. Unless they show themselves and get shot at or something, or a vehicle stops and looks for a bit at them then they'll run further in and might not come back.
I often drive past my hunting spot then park and double back on foot and slip in to a hidey hole. Let it all chill out 15-20 minutes then call. I cut sign on the way in and find fresh stuff then set up close.
Only thing I'd worry about is they hear you putting a stand up, that might actually call them in closer and you're busted before you even finish getting up the tree. Unless your stand is making metallic noises. tape that sucker up and pad it in the noisy spots.

I don't think i would worry about the vehicle noise. I have seen them flatten out on the ground, as I drove by. As long as you don't slow or stop, they usually don't spook. Some exceptions, of course.

Go for it , as long as you dont shut doors loudly and stay quiet sneaking in youll be golden, Elevation is very important , Stress that a lot at my seminars.
