Title: Lee Ergo Prime tool
Post by: Jekemi on January 11, 2016, 08:17:17 AM
Has anyone else had problems with the relatively new Lee Ergo hand priming tool. I recently purchased one and it has given me nothing but problems. The primers don't flip right because the surface of the tray is too bumpy so I have to manually right the primers. But the most annoying issue is that the primers pop up just before entering the primer loading piece. The get bunched up under the clear plastic tray, right before entering the plunger area. You have to remove the clear plastic cover, readjust and realign the primers and replace the cover. Sometimes I can get into a groove and get 10 or 15 primers loaded correctly but sometimes the problem continues right away. I contacted Lee but no response yet. Let me know if anyone else has experienced this.

I've just used mine with small rifle primers and it works well for me, flips primers pretty good, I might have to turn one or two by hand.  I have a couple of the older ones and keep them set up for a single primer type so I'm not switching back and forth.  I like them both about the same and the new one because the large Federal boxes fit the primer tray where the old ones some primers always seemed to miss the tray when filling it
