I am not sure how many people look at the for hire thread so I am posting this on here.
I have a front loading washer that is not working. Gives me some weird code on the front.
I tried calling a few companies but to even come out and look its $100. If you are interested in some cash on the side. please PM me.

Ross,
Don't know if this will help but we had the same situation with ours. There is a small "trap" you can open up beneath the clothes drum that will collect "stuff" and prevent it from going through the pump(s). It may be full/clogged. You'll be surprised what you'll find. I found a key to my truck I had been missing for a couple years and a couple bucks worth of change.

Go on Youtube and fix it yourself. There are several companies that put out videos with links to the parts. I have used appliance part pros in the past and saved a fortune.

:yeah:figure out what the code is, usually it will only be a few options of what it could be. youtube it.

Also, if you take the top off (3 or 4 screws on the back side) most manufacturers have the Tech sheet stuck to the lid. It'll tell you what the code stand for. If you tell us the manufacturer and what code you're getting, I bet you'll get the right answers
More often than not, it's the clogged drain filter full of money and junk.

my washer quit with and a code popped up, it was lack of water. my hose went through the floor and got slightly kinked where it went through, easiest repair I've done

Save yourself some dough and google the manufacture and code. that will tell you what it is. I had the same issue and it was a clogged trap.

Yea YouTube it. BMW wanted $5,000 to replace 4 gaskets on my X3. I YouTubed them, and was able to replace 3 of the 4 and saved myself $2700. The 3 that I bought only cost me $140 in parts. Of course the one I can't change myself is the expensive one and that one will cost me $2500. Now my washing machine is leaking every once in a while and I plan on looking on YouTube this weekend to see if I can fix it.
