Still courting?  Seems funny for that dude to be hanging with a doe while he still has his bones.  Do muley bucks do that after they migrate?  (I think I may have seen that on one of the great Burnsworth shows).   Blactail bucks often hang with does after they drop 'em - at least the younger ones.

Nice shot, BTW!  Are you photoshopping these pics in the foreground and distance or just shooting with a really low f-stop?

Low F stop

They were herded up.  Buck and doe.   In the desert they don't split up as defined in the mountains.  The whole herd winters together.
