Post by: Buckmark on January 30, 2016, 06:27:50 PM
Ok so not to exciting or difficult but made a big batch of Saturday venison chilli

2lbs ground venision (from the buck i killed this year)
1lb ground pork (from the 1/2 pig i bought this year)
1 sweet onion cut very finely (bought from the store)
2 gloves garlic (bought from the store)
2 jars tomatoes (from my garden that i canned this year)
2 cans red chilli beans (store bought)
2 cans white chilli beans "               "
2 cans cannellini bean    "               "
Sprinkle of hot pepper flakes "        "
*
Sweat the onion, brown the ground, add the garlic, pepper flakes, tomatoes and stir, bring temp to just small bubbles
then add the cans of beans and bring to a mild boil/bubbles, turn down heat and cover, simmer for awhile.

Make corn bread (another thread) or rolls, or just plain ole white bread with butter.

Serve with sides of : sweet onion, chedder cheese, bacon, sour cream, green onion, flat bread toast points, baked potatoes, etc etc, then freeze the left over for later
