Title: Tax credit for concealed carry permit and safety training

Arizona 2016 HB2494: "Tax Credit; Concealed Weapon Permits" (https://legiscan.com/AZ/text/HB2494/id/1297402)

"... a credit is allowed ... for training courses or classes taken by the taxpayer or by the spouse or a dependent of the taxpayer for the purposes of applying and qualifying for a permit to carry a concealed weapon...

Purpose
... to promote public safety by easing the cost of obtaining and maintaining permits to carry concealed weapons"

Post by: eldplanko on January 31, 2016, 07:51:05 PM: I had a similar idea for here... Why not exempt sales tax on gun or ammo sales for those with a proven firearms safety training (and allow hunters Ed to count). The whole idea to incentivize being a good guy.
