Title: Mountain bike question
Post by: Martinhunter on January 31, 2016, 08:00:44 PM
Got a question for the mountain bike enthusiasts. I'm looking at purchasing a bike for hunting behind gates and I really like the 27 speed 29" bike. More specific I'm looking at the 2016 gravitity 29er point2. Anyone know about this bike or have any other suggestions on another one. It'll be mainly for logging roads not much trail riding. Also I'm 5'6" tall and was hoping the "small" size 29" bike would fit me good. Is that doable or should I maybe look for a smaller bike in general. Thanks for any advise and info..

I have a Trek Superfly 8 29er. It's a fast bike really reliable. I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned

Full suspension or hard tail?
Bikesdirect I'm assuming you're looking?
How much?

29" is the way to go.
I've ridden them all and if a bike fits well, it'll ride well.
I wrote several more specs on another post on the same subject... Search for it. I hope it helps.

Erik

I wouldn't hesitate buying a bike from them, though I have no experience with the model your looking at, a buddy had a gravity from them that was a great bike for the money.

If it fits you, I think you'll like the 29er, it made a big difference for me, but I'm also 6'4

As long as it fits well, it'll work well. Not a racing rig nor light weight but it should work.

For a hard tail I love the steel frame, it's like having a little suspension from the spring of the steel.
