NRA-ILA ALERT:
Governor Labels More than One Hundred Thousand Law-Abiding Constituents in Washington a “Destructive Force”
THURSDAY, JANUARY 14, 2016
"In a recent email (http://shared.nrapvf.org/sharedmedia/1508518/inslee-attack-email-january-11.pdf) to Washington voters, Governor Jay Inslee (D) called for more misguided gun control legislation and went so far as to call NRA members a “destructive force.” The Governor is using law-abiding gun owners as a scapegoat for his failure to provide any practical solutions that would deal with crime and mental health issues in the state of Washington. Current laws do NOT need to be “strengthened,” but they DO need to be enforced.
Currently, Governor Jay Inslee is circulating a petition in an attempt to generate public support for even more gun control. In 2014, the NRA argued that piling Initiative 594, a notably unenforceable law, on top of the preexisting and unenforced background check law was disingenuous. From the beginning, I-594 was only going to burden law-abiding gun owners. Now that the Governor has realized this and the shortcomings of his Administration’s promises, he intends to double down and use the Obama/Bloomberg playbook to place even further restrictions on the Second Amendment rights of Washingtonians.
Members and Second Amendment supporters are urged to call Governor Jay Inslee and politely urge him to stop attacking law-abiding citizens with more unnecessary and unenforceable gun control and to dial back the inflammatory and inappropriate rhetoric. Contact information for the Governor’s office is below:
Governor Jay Inslee’s Office
(360) 902-4111"
You can also send the Governor a respectful e-message here:
https://fortress.wa.gov/es/governor/
Here are a few bullet points to help with your message; however, it is good to use your own words. Remember, be respectful.
• Refer to the Governor’s message dated January 11, 2016, that he sent to Washington Voters with a subject line titled, “Enough is enough”.
• The Governor’s statement in his message: “But make no mistake, the NRA and their friends in the gun lobby are a powerful and destructive force.”
• Take personal offense with the statement.
• The NRA is made up of individual, law-abiding citizens. If you are a member of the NRA, you are the NRA and the NRA is you, and you are one of the Governor’s constituents.
• Expectation of the people: When elected officials take the oath of office and make a promise to the people to “… support the Constitution of the United States …” those elected officials will honor their promise.
• The NRA has been unwavering in defending our Second Amendment rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights which by default defends all of our rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
• Respectful request to the Governor: Please refrain from vilifying the NRA and its friends/members, and resist imposing more unnecessary and unenforceable gun control onto law-abiding citizens.

I take it as a compliment.

I imagine that pinko considers the Constitution a “Destructive Force”.
Go push potties for the homeless or capital hill politics Governor.

Our Governor is in the pocket of Bloomberg and the left wing loonies he will not stop and the only way to shut him down is a recall or wait him out and do not vote for another left wing whack job!

How does Bloomberg get the money to him? I hear that a lot, does Bloomberg actually contribute directly or via organizations he funds?

I do not think it is money changing hands but more of a shared ideology shared by Obozo, Bloomberg and a series of left wing idiots! It is the sharing of power they get.

I have noticed that in the state house and senate without your "posse" life is pretty hard.

Remember a while back Bloomberg and Obozo stated they were going to use/pressure Governors to get the gun control rules they wanted so this is not just WA state but any democrat run state!

I wonder if Inslee can stand to anger 100K+ constituents, considering the slim margin of victory (51-49) over McKenna.

Let him damage his image and fire up his opposition. We need more gun owners to wake up.

Dear Governor Inslee,
I am an American veteran. I've never been in trouble with the law for anything. I pay my taxes. I'm not a burden on state or federal welfare programs. I'm a gun owner and I'm a life member of the NRA. Since when does this make me a "destructive force", for exercising my rights under both the WA and US Constitutions? You efforts to label me as a "bad guy" for no reason whatsoever, while criminals in this state continue to be given light sentences and felons continue to get away with applying for gun purchases without being arrested and charged, is ludicrous.
I challenge you to begin focusing your control efforts on those who've proven they're a danger to society instead of pitting our good citizens against each other for no more than a difference in ideology. You're a leader. Prove it by figuring out who the real bad guys are and leave the rest of us alone to work hard, continue to be contributing members of our society, and enjoy the freedoms guaranteed us by the supreme law of the land.
Sincerely,
Pianoman

Well written and to the point my take is it will fall on his deaf ears, they have an agenda and will pursue it no matter what. That said it is still worth calling him out and letting him know that voters are not happy with his inappropriate statements!
-
Pianoman for president!

Words not spoken or written are words not heard or read.
It's always worth the few minutes it may take to communicate with the people that are supposed to represent us whether they agree with us or not.
Our voices must be heard, or our opinions do not exist.

Sincerely,
Pianoman
It would be really *censored* if you signed it that way and linked to the forum lol
-
Lol, we're all already on about as many lists as there are. It probably wouldn't make any difference.
-
Pianoman for president!
At least Governor!

Getting kicked out of Okanogan county must still sting!! :chuckle:

I will continue to redress my grievances with my government regardless of the expected result. I write to the two sickeningly liberal women who serve our state in the US Senate, although they rarely vote the way I've encouraged. I write the President, my Congresswoman, my state senators and reps, the Gov, the county commissioners, and the Sheriff. If you were elected by the people or appointed by someone elected by the people, you've probably seen my letterhead across your desk at one or more times. I will continue to write and share my views as long as I have a right to do so. Never squander your rights.

:yeah:

Cribbed a little from what was written here. This is what I wrote.
Dear Governor Inslee,
Writing to commend on your statement "But make no mistake, the NRA and their friends in the gun lobby are a powerful and destructive force. We must stand together to demand a reduction in preventable gun violence here in Washington state."

I am an American veteran (NMCB 40 89-94). I've never been in trouble with the law in any way and support the police. I'm a gun owner with exensive training working on becoming an NRA certified instructer, a hunter, work in technology at a hight level, and I'm a member of the NRA, GOA, NAGR, SAF, ACLU and many other like minded civil liberties organizations. Since when does this make me a "destructive force", for exercising my rights under both the WA and US Constitutions? Your efforts to label me as a "bad guy" for no reason whatsoever are confusing.
Gun ownership by law abiding citizens represents a "destructive force" to society? Following that logic is the Constitution also “Destructive Force”? The Constitutin is a recognition of unalienable rights, it does not grant them. To make a statement like yours is (in my opinion) a statement in support of Totalitarianism.

First line - should be comment, not commend. But gets the point across.

Ah SNAP! Dang, hate when that happens. Well, if they read it the point does come across.

Sent!

Letter sent.
-
Hell, the POS , excuse me, the POTUS says we are worse than ISIS!
-
Just more pandering by a moron for the morons.
-
Inslee is a moronic brown noser whose only goal is to appease the liberals in DC so he can get a job there. The governor of this state should work on improving this state instead of promoting his liberal agenda and making a name for himself elsewhere. He's sure not making much of a name for himself here; at least not a good one.

This is no different from the last 25 years of liberal governors. Why should he be any different?

I'd have to agree with you on that Pianoman.
