big ol bear from 2015 season in north cascades . showed a forest service ranger and she said looked like grizz its def a black bear but just a big ol beauty of a bear

Those north cascades rangers don't know squat!  :)

Yeah it's always a good thing to post on the internet that you wounded an animal and didn't recover it! Usually the best thing to do :tup:

That place looks awful familiar ....  nice bear ...they are out right now ...I heard of at least 3 being seen in the last week !

If I was a betting man, I would put a thick stack of bills on the fact that Saylean WASN'T taking a jab at you.
He's shown nothing but class in what I've seen of him on this site.

I had a small 50lb or so bear come out to the rivers edge and have a look at me while steelhead fishing last monday. pretty cool sight to see in early February.

To the OP, that is a pig of a bear!
