There are lots of organizations that support hunting, conservation, and wildlife. The field seems to get more crowded each year with fundraising auctions and benefits.
I support several of the organizations and try to attend at least one or two different events each year.
The majority are worthy of our support, and I wouldn’t even think of trying to pit one against another as being “better” in any way.
I like this particular Safari Club event for a few reasons. First, Safari Club’s support is not restricted to a single specie but embraces all legal hunting. Second, I believe the funds raised by local chapters such as this go to causes that I understand and support. Lastly, and perhaps selfishly this event has always been enjoyable and always has quite a few items in both the silent and live auctions that appeal to me.
As an added bonus, I usually end up meeting a couple Hunt WA members for the first time.
If you have an interest in attending, I encourage you to get a ticket while they’re still available.

Agreed. Seems the economy/market are keeping auction prices down somewhat generally, but there was someone still bidding this up at $25K last year. :dunno:
