Federal tire makes them for the guys on Diesel Brothers (dieselsellerz.com and Sparks Motors ).
-
Price seems competitive but nothing stands out to me as to why they would be better than another brand.
-
Well i can tell you that unless they did some thing drastically different than the norm that kind of tire isnt gona wear like a more conventional tire. A heavy ply rating and possibly a harder rubber rating (derometer) are about all you can do with a MT to try and get it to wear better. Harder rubber will wear better but wont grip in the cold conditions as well and will tend to chip more.
There is no magic solution for running over sized mud tires on a lifted heavy rig down the street.
What size are you looking at?
-
18" rims are a horrible size. not many options and more expensive that 17 or 20" rims.
-
And 16 or 17 are cheaper still... I guess what my point is if you look at the many offerings for you full size you wont find very many options compared to going up or down in rim size. I know because my fathers truck sports 18" factory wheels as well... I had to shake my head when he ordered up a set of custom 18" wheels when the cost savings on tires going down to 16-17" would be huge.

True but there are lots of truck today that come with low profile tires that could mostly half tons

Why no load ratings on those tires? Have a camper and need E range tires. Hmm
-
They are 10ply / e rated tires.
Most LT tires max out at 10ply there are a few sizes like 235/85r16 that have small offerings in 12-14ply but they are usually hwy tires for motorhomes and tiltdeck trailers. They also happen to be steel bead to bead construction like semi tires. If you really need carry capacity go to 19.5 wheels and then you can run commercial grade tires. I do and they last forever and are tougher than supermans knee caps.
