Would like to take my father shooting. As a teen-ager, used to live in Klamath Falls, OR and we had an abundance of ground squirrels and jack rabbits to shoot in the alfalfa fields. I recently moved to Sequim, from NC, to help take care of my mother and spend time with my father in his golden years. Looking for somewhere to go plinking, shooting. We have .22s, .264. .300 Wheatherby, but no dedicated long-range varmint riles yet.
Is there somewhere to too terribly far east of Tacoma that would be a good spot to shoot some critters? Would like to limit travel time from Sequim to 3.5 hours each way or so. Would just be day-trips. My dad is 78, so looking for flat easy access.
Thanks in advance!!

I have been on the hunt for a good area for Rabbit "not to far down the 90" from the West Side myself. "Scatter Creek" area has a few now and then. Worth a walk around.
