If your doing a Homebrew Camera build, You could take your 2 3/4 inch 1x1 aluminum angle piece and engrave your name and number on the side that will be against the case. That way if it is ever stolen you'll be able to tell Law Enforcement about the identifying marks and it will be in a spot the thief will most likely not find and remove. :twocents:

That's a great idea!!
-
You are on to something there, I am gonna do just that.
-
How about a guiotene (sp?) mounted right above the camera, I'm sure the guy will be easy to spot :P
-
Great idea Fred!!
Now if I can just chip that bondo off the bolts.
I'll have to do it on the next one, and the next one, and the next one...... :)
-
BigDave, I am gonna pull the board and engrave it under that on the case.
-
Don't you have the nut on the inside of the case? You can pull those off and pull the aluminium piece off, couldn't you?
-
If I keep this up you guys are gonna swear I dye my hair brown.
The nuts ARE on the inside. What am I thinking!!?!!
-
Good Idea. I am gonna put a note on the inside with something like this....Your picture was taken with another camera..put this one back and I won't call the sheriff.

I thought about doing this same thing. Just to get the devil off their shoulder.

With 3-D camo, no two cameras are alike. Take a picture of your camera. There is not another one like it any where.

Yes, but then there's no incentive for their guilt to kick in and put it back. I just know if I ever catch anyone, it'll be a day they don't soon forget >:(
