Feb. 1-Apr 30. CHINOOK - min. size 22". Other SALMON species - no min. size. Daily limit 2
(combined). Release wild CHINOOK" (Page 125)
It's a little confusing, at the end it says "realease wild chinook" so is it catch and release?
Also is there any chance of getting a Chinook in March or should I just mail in the license?

The fishing has been slow, if you do some research on Hood Canal Blackmouth which are chinook you can find areas around Seabeck, Hazel Pt. Seal Rock etc. They like to feed on the bottom and coyote, Coho Killer, type spoons work great as does herring. Be careful as this time of year the tides and wind can make this Canal turn nasty in a second.Thanks for the tip! I never heard of Seal Rock but well be right next to it. Ill definitely check it out!

You could launch next to yelvics (sp) and fish the point at Jackson cove. I would try a white point Wilson jig fished just off the bottom. That's if you can't troll or row fast enough to effectively fish a spoon or cut plug herring. I would be more than happy to take a couple people out for the day if it the weather and my schedule works out when your in town. I have fished the area a lot the last 10 years.Thanks! I'll do that. I appreciate the offer! but we'll be at are family cabin so I'm not quit sure what days I'll be fishing over the weekend.

that's a great offer I would definitely take him up on that, your going to find it very difficult to catch fish from what you described. went out yesterday and got 4, to bad crabbing is closed now.Ugh yeah, it would be awesome if crabbing was open.

I have a [lace up Dosie a little ways. Havent been up in awhile. But craving some fresh seafood. If theres a decent tide you should be able to get clams and oysters! We can usually get clams on a +1.0 or little higher. Low tide. It doesn't necessarily have to be a minus tide to get them.
