Looking to get the bolt on my Tikka T3 Lite fluted. Any recommendations for guys around Seattle with reasonable prices? Other places in the state welcome as well!

I don't know of about around seattle. But Paul at pro precision rifles did mine. He did a great job. He lives in Oregon now somewhere use to be in idaho when I had mine done. He does good work u won't be disappointed.

I was going to have my 700 bolt fluted by Grizz Precision but their business seems to be on hold for a bit while the guys are deployed.
There's a guy named Brett Evans with NW Armswerkes who does it. I emailed him a week ago or so but haven't gotten a response.
I've heard that Kampfeld Customs does "the best" work. I've seen some of their work. It looks nice. I'm trying to keep it local though and I also want my barrel fluted too. I don't have the tools to take my rifle apart to send him the barrel.
Maybe Bmcox86 will chime in here. He just sent his Tikka bolt out to someone back east to be fluted. Nice work and reasonably priced but I can't recall the name of the place.

I think yondering on here might be able to do it

Thanks guys keep em coming! Definitely considering Kampfeld out of Idaho but if I can keep it local that's even better. There must be a couple gunnies/machinists on here.

I have had two done from kampfeld and it was when he lived on east coast... I think turn around from when I shipped it to when I received it back was 7 days and the work was outstanding...

I have used ptg a few times, no complaints, always good work. they are out of Oregon though

I had explored having Kampfeld to some work for me as well. I just haven't pulled the proverbial trigger yet.

I do my own straight flutes, but if I was doing anything requiring cnc, I'd send it to Karl no question.

I had my tikka t3 light fluted by Adams custom rifles in Virginia, it's like $56 including shipping and you can pick a bunch of different patterns, it took about a month but was worth the wait.

I had Kampfeld flute one of my remington bolts a few years ago and was VERY happy. Quick turn around as well. Contact home before sending to verify he will work on a Tikka bolt. If he will I high recommend him and also have several friends and family with the same experience I had. Good luck!

Looks like Kampfeld is the place to go haha. Anyone know if Benchmark up in Arlington does aftermarket machining work? Would be nice to know before I ship the parts off to Idaho. On that note, how does shipping a dismantled firearm work???
-
Not sure if Benchmark Barrels does bolts or not but maybe give them a call and see. :dunno: They're in Arlington so ya can't get much closer than that. :twocents:

Just put the bolt in a small flat rate box and ship it
