just wondering if I might know some of you from walleye or bass tourneys.
-
I fish a few walleye tourneys in Washington and the Columbia a year.
-
I made most of my money in high school fishing bass tourneys, but that was 22-24 years ago.
-
I have a friend that was just named angler of the year for the second year in a row in his bass club, seems like the way to get into tournaments is through clubs.
-
Yep - I do all the major Open Tourney's and the NWBass events sponsored by Nixon's Marine. I also fish with a club, too. You don't need to belong to a club to fish open tournaments, but the club events are usually reserved for those that belong. A couple of nice April Potholes bass.

I've fished a few bass tournaments in the past on potholes and banks, but my dad used to really big into tournaments he averaged like over a 100 days on the water for a few consecutive years and always seemed to be in the money but got out of it just likes to fish for fun now and only fishes tournaments when he has a good pattern going! Have to admit though they are pretty fun.
-
I don't but I want to ... I don't have a boat and have tried to get a ride but everyone has a partner allready so it's tough. I even put my name in the hat for two tournaments as an amature looking for a pro in California at Oreville & Clear Lake but no takers!
-
The tournaments look like they would be a blast, never have really fished for bass to often. I have worked with some fellas that is what they love to do and do tournaments monthly with there club.
M_Ray maybe you would have better luck finding some one to take you out on there boat if you joined a club like the Puyallup Hawg Hunters.

I have a boat to get out and fish in but not suitable for tournament fishing ( no live wells or screamin motor to cover big water) I live right next to one of the best West side Bass lakes so getting out is not the issue tourney fishin is ... and I have fished in bass clubs contest's before but I'm more interested in the high intense tourney fishin. I got to fish in Michigan last year with a guy who Qualified twice for the Bass Master Calssic and it's a whole different ball game! going back this summer to fish with him again it was a blast and learned alot! here is a Michigan Bass as big as my nephew!
