Anyone have any current info on the Mt Si trail conditions, heading up there this weekend.
-
Totally do-able. No issues. Might consider a Mt. Tenerife traverse from the summit of Mt Si while you're there. Make your trip worthwhile.

I haven't been up there in years so hoping the weather is clear, this will be a father daughter bonding hike, my little girl just turned 23 and wants to start getting into hiking.

I haven't been for a couple of years. Used to do that and Tiger Mountain when I was training to go up Rainier. Kids were just asking about going for hike, let us know how the trail is, maybe I will take them up it for spring break.
Hope you have a good hike.

That's great. Hope you guys have a good time. Some folks have been trying to climb the haystack. SAR had to carry someone down a couple weeks ago with a broken back. Slipped and fell on the ice on the stack. Don't get any crazy ideas LOL.

Heads up. There are bears in the woods. Just a warning.
-
Thanks for the heads up that would be a added bonus to encounter some bears !
-
If you do, don't run. They'll chase you. Then you'll have to call SAR, the sheriff and WDFW to be rescued.
-
:chuckle: I say watch for people, they appear worse then the bears

Yeah I know its one of the most popular hikes around I will be bringing a peace keeper along, there just isn't many decent places to go for a good hike this time of year in my area except for shed hunting but I like to wait until they all drop
-
I was up there last weekend. Very icy the last 200yds or so

We ended up going up to the top of little Si instead partly by accident, got the trails mixed up. We will be going back in a few weeks to hike the Mt Si trail when the weather improves, it was a good day
