Hey Jason, just listened to the podcast of you with the Meat Eater. It was a great listen. I get jacked listening how passionate you are about your craft. I know you specialize in elk calls but make turkey as well. I love turkey hunting but have not mastered the mouth diaphragm, I use a slate call. Have you put out a tutorial or can you recommend one on the Interwebs?
Or best case do you know of ANYONE offering lessons for pay or trade?
I love what you do and congrats on your successful small business!

I had walked right into a cow one day. She barked and started running. I did some really fast calf calls on the EZ Estrus and turned her right around and she came back. They're great calls and the value for the dollar is outstanding. They last a long time and Jason has great service and product support. I have 3 or 4 of them and a bunch of reeds and the big tube.
-
Got one on the way. Thanks for the review!

tagging get some play money Wednesday. Beautiful calls.
-
For those who havnt tried these calls they sound great and are honestly pretty easy to use with a little practice. Wish I wouldn't have lost mine during archery season last September!
-
Watching hunting vids on YouTube. Saw the HUSH guys give a shout out to there custom Phelps call. Pretty cool man!
-
Been thinking about a custom call for a while, do you have any burl wood available for the barrels if so I would definitely be interested.
-
We have quite a few burls. Any and everything from Birdseye maple burl to the exotic amboyna burl. If we don't have it we can get it.
-
Awesome, thank you. I plan on putting in an order soon.
-
Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Thank you very much! Looks great and sounds even better! Super easy to use.. Can't wait for September!
-
Received my desert ironwood call today. It looks awesome. Thank you for making that happen so fast.

Wow that was quick 👍🏼
That Desert Ironwood is some of my favorite. It polishes like glass

How much is a fancy wood elk call, I would love to get one.

Depends on what wood you want. The majority are $30 on up to $50 for the most exotic woods like Amboyna Burl.

I will be hunting for a spike or cow in Utah before the rut. Will the EZ estrus work for that and if not what would you suggest.
-
Oh yeah, baby, depending on how far before the rut. It's a great call and it's very versatile and will make sounds from calf to estrus cow and everything in between.

It will work great. We've called in a bunch of cows and spikes with these.

I will be hunting for elk my first season this year during Western Muzzy. I have hunted the rut for moose in Alaska but have no experience with elk calls. What can you recommend for a first timer for elk calls? My plan thus far is to hunt for a bull unless I get drawn for a cow tag.
-
Thanks for the info. You will see an order from me tonight.

The EZEstrus is a great sounding call that is easy to learn.
BUT I always recommend trying to use a diaphragm. The elk commander, the boss and dragon slayer in medium frame are a good set to test out and see what works.
-
Bought a diaphragm and tried using it for about a month to learn. Not something I could make work. Must be some trick to it that I couldn't figure out.

Feel free to give me a call and we will see if we can get it figured out.
