Here's a current report from Moses. If your transducer sticks out below your hull watch out for the crud floating in the lake. I snapped my transducer off on Friday on the 2016 maiden voyage. It was supposed to release if it hit something but it look like it torqued a bit to the side as one side of the bracket on the hull had the side snapped off.
I have a replacement at home and it's a 5 minute job for replacement. I will mount the transducer a tad higher with less than half the thickness of the transducer exposed below the hull.

Other than that, how was the fishing?

Potholes was giving up the fish. Walleye and both small and large mouth were biting. Saw a 11 lb eye hit a fillet knife some 4 plus lb. Bass as well.

I suspect the walleye were at the north end(s) where the running water is. We didn't find any biters down in the usual haunts. That's probably because they're more interested in spawning than feeding right now. We were headed to the RF north end when I broke off my transducer. I'll install the replacement bracket today as I have a spare. These brackets are made to release if the transducer gets hit. I gather the one "prong" engaged a tad too much on the right hand side and that's why the bracket broke.
There were some nice sized walleye skeletons in the water at the launch so they're biting somewhere.
Friday should be the next trip out.
