This spot gets more activity from predators (and people) than most any other place I've set up a camera. The bear has been intrigued by my camera for 3 years now and comes by a couple of times a week in the spring and summer. I've never put down any attractant.

Excellent, do you know what alphabet soup is doing the collar study with the cougars?

No idea. I spoke to the District 12 biologist about a bear with a collar and some loons and a turkey vulture I saw at a lake nearby last year, but we didn't talk about cougars. Probably the same guy... I guess. But I get regular pictures of bear, elk and cougar with collars. I think there was even a collar on a coyote on one trail camera recently.
