I cast my own 305gr RFN for 44mag. I use green dot a lot for 44.

Just out of curiosity, what is your barrel length, and what is your intended use for the 300+ grain loads?
I have shot a few island deer with my 6 1/2" 629 using 240gr XTPs with good results,
For bear protection I carry a 4" model 29 loaded with 300 grain Sierra's pushed by a healthy charge of vihta N110.

Hornady also makes the .44 XTP in 300g. I’ve used that bullet in my 629 and in my Knight Bighorn. Very accurate and works well on deer.
For thicker skinned game I’d recommend a JSP, the two below are accurate from my revolver:
Sierra SportsMaster Bullets 44 Caliber (429 Diameter) 300 Grain Jacketed Soft Point
Speer Uni-Cor Bullets 44 Caliber (429 Diameter) 300 Grain Jacketed Soft Point

Proceed with caution!
For my 6" 629 I load a 300gr XTP over 20 gr. of H110 and a gas check hand cast 250hp over 21.5 gr Max load in my firearm but have taken several animals with both ! Both shoot under 2" at 75 yards if I pilot them right

What kind of fps are you getting out of that?

I'm not sure I've run it across the crony as I don't see it in my load book sorry
