Title: Nosler LRABs in a Tikka T3 light.
Post by: HntnFsh on May 02, 2016, 07:23:56 PM
Wondering if any of you have a load worked up with the 168 grn. LRABs for a Tikka T3 light 7mm mag. That you wouldn't mind sharing.

My son had some 160 grn Accubonds loaded up that shoot pretty good in our rifles. But would like to try a little heavier bullet. I know every rifle is different. So I don't expect the exact same results in mine as somebody else gets in theirs. But you never know.

I don't reload. But my son has a buddy that helps him out once in awhile. So maybe we could bribe him into loading up some of the 168s. to try out. Wish I had a connection to help me work up a load for my rifle. But unfortunately I dont. So I feel fortunate to take what I am so generously offered!

Thanks,
HntnFsh

Haven't loaded for them in the 7mag yet (got a guy bringing me one soon though actually) but I've loaded the LRAB for a few calibers so far and all of them, have ended up being 10 thou off the lands.  My 300 wsm I had to slow way down to get accuracy, the 6.5 was kind of the same way.  Buglebuster's 300 win mag with the 190's are cooking pretty good though @ 2,983fps.  I'd start out loading them close to the lands and min charge and work my powder up from there.  Find one printing good and tweek the seating depth one way or the other.  Trial and error till you find the sweet spot.
