Damn, I was hoping you were going to say the PA king salmon derby is back, did quite well there in both 89' and 90'. Best derby in the state, IMO.

Well our crew for the 2016 Port Angeles Halibut Derby took second place with my brothers fish that weighed in at 69.7 pounds. It was a great time and I'm already looking forward to next years derby. Did anyone else fish the derby if so how did you do?

Those results are last years.  The winning fish was only around 77 pounds or there abouts.

:bash:  :bash: I put a 53lb fish in the boat Saturday and my brother caught a 76lber on Sunday! Wish we owned a bigger boat to make the run to the weigh ins.

:(Wish we would have ran into you and knew you had a money fish aboard, we would have gladly ran you and your fish in  Conditions were a little sporty Friday before the derby, They were great Saturday except for the rain and Sunday morning was a little sporty again for the few hours fished in the morning. We were in a 19' Fish-Rite with 90hp Evinrude E-Tec.
It fished great on anchor and adrift.

Thanks Mtn.Ghost and congrats on getting the 2nd place fish in your boat! We were launching out of keystone on whidbey with a 16' boat and a 30hp on it. For us making the run back to the dock Saturday was terrible. Worst conditions we have ever been in with that boat. :yike:
