Title: New to Washington- Advice Please
Post by: Bowhunter35 on May 29, 2016, 09:03:12 PM: I just moved to Washington from Maryland and am currently living in the Bothell/Mill Creek area. I wanted to ask a few questions and see if anyone could give me some advice:

1.) Pro Shop- Where do you recommend going to get my bow tuned? Nock Point?

2.) Archery Ranges- Are there any outdoor ranges around here to go to? Any free ones? Any good places to go into the woods, set up my block target and just get some practice?

Post by: davk on June 03, 2016, 09:39:52 PM: Dont know of any free ranges. Ive been to Nock Point. Fine for shooting a limited range. A buddy of mine has a membership at the Kenmore gun club ... heading there this weekend. I usually shoot in my back yard (20 yards) or just head out to the woods for longer. More than enough places to shoot out here. Check out Google and the GoHunt WA maps for state/federal lands and drive.

I do my own tuning, but the other guy I hunt with has gone to Nock Point. They seemed to know what they were doing. Havent been to anywhere else.

Vernon, they do good work and are very helpful, as for ranges I recommend Silver Arrow Bowmen in mnt. Vernon also. it has two flat ranges ( one lighted to be able to shoot at any time) the first flat range is 10 to 50 yards, the second range on the backside of the club house is out to 60 yards. the club house has an indoor range. The walking course is phenomenal. they have 50 targets with various ranges and elevations and is easy to navigate.

While up in Mount Vernon check out Silver Arrows Bowman. They have a outside range and inside.
For low cost.

Kenmore range is close to you and has a Olympic archery range ,a flat range from 10 to 80 yrds and a 52 target walk through. Let me know if ya ever wanna go shoot.
