I was looking at these on the web and had some questions.
Does anyone have one and how do you like it? Does Remington make these or get them from someone else? Are they the same as other ar-15's? ( meaning are the parts interchangable?) Are these a good quality AR?
Also a general AR question- what kind of groups do you guys get with your AR-15?

i got one for Christmas and i love this riffle. Remington actually bought bushmaster and part of dpms i believe. they built this riffle under the direction of a professional predator hunter tho his name escapes me. this is a AR-15, and a high quality one at that if you ask me, it will except all ar mags and the lower receiver should have no problem excepting a different upper tho i havent tried. i reload for all my riffles and ive got great accuracy out of this gun. 3/4 inch groups at 200 yards and i like to hit just a little high at that rang about 1 inch, this puts me at about a inch and a half maybe a little higher at 100,pretty flat. i would recommend this riffle, now i just need to get my first yote with it :bash:

I also have a R-15. i love it. very accurate. i have the .223, 22inch model. shooting 55gr hornady vmax factory loads.
-
They are nice guns and are just renamed bushmasters that have been camo dipped.
-
There is a bunch of them available on Gunbroker.com. If I didn't already have my Bushmaster Predator, I would have went with the R15. I have been eyeballing that R25 in .243 or .308

yeah i was looking at a r-25 or a bushmaster.

i would really like to get one, i shot one last week and loved it
-
i am thinking about going with the r-15 but there's no where u can find it.

Got mine from Bearmanric. It's a Bushy AR15. Nice gun. It accepts other uppers, like any AR. I've got a Dtech 243wssm upper, shoots awesome. Nice camo.
This one came in 22" 204 with 1:12 twist and turns out it won't shoot 40g bullets tighter than about 3" at best, but it looks like it's gonna work out great with 32's. It shoots 32g remmy factory at about an inch. I'm sure I'll get a load under a dime once I work it up. I'm going to try several bullets.
Byron South is the Predator man involved in the design. The Byron signature edition (super spendy) is a 223 with an 18" barrel.

Man I want that 243wssm upper. I bought an Olympic arms k16 and I haven't found a load yet that it wont print about 1" or less with three shot at 100yd's. I think that the AR platform is a very accurate one despite not being about to set the bullet out close to the lands.

I totally nailed that 243Whizzer upper of the Classifieds on Predatormasters. Dtech upper, 20" stainless fluted Shillen bull, complete with bolt, carrier, charging handle, 2 mags, 2 boxes of Win Black box 95g silvertips.... delivered for $675!!!
Shoots 1/2" at 100 all day long over nothing but a forend rest off that R15 lower. I don't mind the trigger on the R15 either (a common point of complaint.) It has a little travel, but it's real smooth and consistent, so it shoots out fine.

How long ago did you get it? I was looking at one on there, I got the money together and it was gone :tung:
-
November, I think. Young guy in MI.
-
LOL that was it :chuckle: I had a moment of weakness and was going to buy it without even looking into the cal. first.
-
There was 2 at Cabelas in Lacey last weekend. Around $1100.

They had one left yesterday morning but it had the 18" barrel and I want at least a 22" :bash:
Tri-State in Moses Lake also had the one with the collapsible stock about a week ago.
I am thinking I will probably go with the Remington sps varmint instead since I like the 22-250 and the 26" barrel even better.

Why such a long barrel? I know you might gain a little bit of speed but I doubt it will be any more accurate. Shorter barrels are better for hunting since you can swing the rifle faster to get the second dog. Are you just trying to get extra weight to be steady? Im not trying to knock you, just trying to find out if there is something else I should consider when I build my AR.
