Title: Glass bead blasting
Post by: Mossy on June 03, 2016, 10:57:24 PM
What are your thoughts?  I'm thinking of getting one of my S&W's in satin stainless blasted to a matte finish. I prefer the look but I'm not sure if it has any bearing on resale?  Possible cleaning/marking issues also come to mind...

I had a blued Remington 700 done. Didn't have any effect on resale and cleaning it was not a problem.

If it is smith with a hillary hole i wouldn't be too concerned with resale value. The only down side to bead blasted guns is that any minor scuff or scratch will be visible. Just like a matte black truck.
