I am heading to greyland state park for fathers day weekend from Saturday to Tuesday was thinking of bringing a rod and casting out a bait off the rocks near the docks in Westport has anybody tried fishing off those rocks and what gear or bait was used and what kind of set up what can u catch near those rocks

Clam necks, sand shrimp work for bait. Use a 2 or 3 oz weight and you should do alright.

The last couple weekends we've been getting some surf perch off the beach using sand shrimp or Berkley gulp knight crawler. Good Luck!

:yeah: If you're going to be in Grayland just take one of the beach approaches and fish off the beach. No need to go all the way to Westport. May have to move around until you find 'em. Fish one spot for maybe 20 minutes or so and if no bites then move up or down the beach. Look for other guys fishing and if it looks like they're into them then join in on the fun.
