Anyone been after them?
I'm going this weekend with the kids.
-
Haven't been after them but there are plenty of folks after them from Bonnie down river.
-
Over 500,000 over Bonneville dam.
-
We've gotten some, but that thing called a job makes it hard to get out.
-
Picked up 16 today with the kids in 3 hrs, lost about that many

What kind of techniques do you use to catch shad? Ive never fished for them but would like to give it a shot someday.

i just use a green or red bead or a tiny corky with a #4 or #6 hook, and a pencil lead setup like you're drift fishing for steelhead. they'll hit that every bit as well as a shad dart or triple teazer, at a fraction of the cost(especially when fishing in an area as snaggy as up by bonneville dam). cast and retrieve slowly.
