Title: Game Calls - what is the best and easiest?
Post by: DeathMarch on June 13, 2016, 10:12:31 AM: I drew a quality archery tag for observatory. Last year while I was cow hunting in there I managed to get into a few bulls. My cow call worked great but I haven't used a bugle that I really felt worked well. Part of that I am sure is the user... Anyway, can you recommend what bugles you might be using that are
1. Easy to learn
2. Effective
3. Not too big and cumbersome.

Post by: ridgefire on June 13, 2016, 02:30:12 PM: Bugling bulls raging bull diaphragm with a bully bull grunt tube. Super easy to bugle with. I have never tried Phelps but have heard nothing but good about his calls.

Post by: Nice Racks on June 13, 2016, 08:17:10 PM: For me it was Phelps. I pretty much gave up on diaphragms due to my gag reflex, but purchased some from Jason at one of his seminars. To my surprise I was making noise with them before I left the parking lot. Later on that year I bugled in a bull and shot him at 26 yards.

Post by: Sneekee23 on June 19, 2016, 08:46:47 PM: I use the old school deeptimber bugle but it's pretty hard to use. I still keep reeds in my pocket if needed, Phelps game call reeds are durable and sound great. :twocents:
