Title: Central Yakima youth tag
Post by: jasone on June 14, 2016, 07:32:30 AM: My son drew muzzy cow tag. We are pretty excited to get out and start scouting some areas. This tag allows him to hunt Bumping , Nile , Bethel areas. Just curious to know if you had this tag which unit would focus on the most?

Post by: treeclimber2852 on June 14, 2016, 09:52:24 AM: I've been out scouting the past few weekends. I've seen elk and lots of sign in both Bumping and Nile- that's where I'll be for archery. It just depends on how far from the road you want to get. Nile has a lot more road traffic than Bumping, but the terrain seems to be a bit more wide open open. Just find a drainage and get a bit away from the road and you should find them. Muzzy is going to be a fun time to be in the woods. My son has Yakima North Muzzy, so we'll be out that way quite a bit this summer. I don't know anything about Bethel, but I hear there are a lot of elk in there as well.
