Title: Central Yakima youth tag
Post by: jasone on June 14, 2016, 07:32:30 AM
My son drew muzzy cow tag. We are pretty excited to get out and start scouting some areas. This tag allows him to hunt Bumping , Nile , Bethel areas. Just curious to know if you had this tag which unit would focus on the most?

I've been out scouting the past few weekends.  I've seen elk and lots of sign in both Bumping and Nile- that's where I'll be for archery.  It just depends on how far from the road you want to get.  Nile has a lot more road traffic than Bumping, but the terrain seems to be a bit more wide open open.  Just find a drainage and get a bit away from the road and you should find them.  Muzzy is going to be a fun time to be in the woods.  My son has Yakima North Muzzy, so we'll be out that way quite a bit this summer.  I don't know anything about Bethel, but I hear there are a lot of elk in there as well.
