Title: Good trout/salmon fishing around Bellingham?
Post by: WAnoob on June 17, 2016, 10:22:11 AM
Looking to fish a lot more this season after my shoulder heals in the fall. Any good rivers for trout or salmon, I tried Skagit last year but it seemed very murky and I had trouble catching anything. I usually fly fish, but I have spin/bait rods as well.

I lived in Ferndale for 7 years.

Coho salmon in the Fall in the Nooksack (if it ever opens again); also, a nice Fall  fishery for coho in the saltwater from shore around Blaine.

Steelhead in the Winter in the Nooksack.

Big trout in the early Spring from Lake Terrell. Nice trout fishing in the Spring from Lake Padden too; with nice shore access.

Other options as well; contact the WDFW Region 4 Office.
