I went out behind the house today and called in this nice female. Started out with woodpecker distress then switched to cottontail distress. She came in at about the 35 minute mark! At least thats when I saw her after about 10 more minutes of sneaking in closer I put her down at 15yds with the 22 hornet.
They sure are cool to watch coming in.

Awesome!

Now that is what my son and I have been after all season! Nice cat!
Were you using an e-caller woodpecker call? or a hand call? I have a couple on the Foxpro, and I can do a decent one on a hand call, but no luck so far. If you were using a Foxpro, which woodpecker were you using?

CastleRocker,
I use the wildlife technologies electronic call. I seem to have pretty good luck with it as long as im in a good location.

Yeah, I looked at them and came close to buying one after I heard it. I just couldn't come up with that kind of cash at the time. They definately sound great!
