Title: Klickitat deer December
Post by: Rhadley82 on June 26, 2016, 06:12:22 AM: I was selected for a West Klickitat deer tag for Dec. Just wondering if there is that I should know before I put my boots on the ground exploring the unit.

There's usually always snow that time of year which is nice. I was up there into December on a late muzzleloader cow tag last year and there was plenty of snow but also plenty of ice on top which made hunting terrible. It can be a killer tag to have if the weather is right up there. There are good quality bucks up there for sure. I seen them all the time.

Post by: HUNT-HARD on July 25, 2016, 11:44:07 AM: Rut will be way over by December in that area. The deer will be out feeding for longer periods of the day though. I would plan on hunting from daylight to dark as much as possible. Its a fun tag and you should see a lot of deer.
