Recently had new struts and shocks put on my '95 Toyota Tacoma (doubling its blue book value haha). This weekend I was driving along and hit a few bad patches of forest road which got me yelled at by my wife but also started a loud noise in front. I looked and the top of the right front strut was sticking in the top of the wheel well and the rubber was gone. Got to the shop before he closed and they fixed it pretty quick with an extra rubber piece they had. He said if it happened again they'd warranty out that strut. The old struts just wore out and I've taken them out on way worse drives than last Saturday. Is this a common thing or did it maybe not get put in right? Used to be a great shop but I don't recognize as many faces any more.
