Title: GMU 124 Bear
Post by: dan11011 on July 15, 2016, 03:46:14 PM
So I've spent some time checking out the IEP areas in this unit for bear and have found hardly any sign. I've found some berries starting to ripen and some good water sources but no bear scat at all. I've seen a lifetime worth of moose scat but no bear.

I know it's not a historically high bear producing unit at all but I know bear are shot in 124 every year. Does anyone know about bear in these IEP lands or anywhere else in 124 that could help me.

Any tips and info is appreciated. Thanks

P.S. The reason I chose this unit is the early season is about the only way I'll get to do some bear hunting this year.

Bag of sweet cob and a trail cam will tell you in a week. Sweet cob is for deer.
