I know there are a bajillion boot threads but does anyone have any experience with the meindl Alaskan hunters??

I went through a couple pair. Loved them, but I had trouble with them squeaking. I used snow seal mostly, but the squeak was internal. Good boot. Just hard to neek up on something when you are squeaking. I thought for sure it might just be a bad boot, so bought another pair. They ended up,doing the same thing

Tried a pair on once. Felt to clunky for me. I like stiff boots, but these were to much

Ran them almost exclusively for the last 6 years but gavery them up this last go around. Last pair I bought absolutely fell apart on me. Cabelas continues to cheapen their products but increase the cost. For what they are asking for them now, you could get any number of high quality boots that are gonna be better quality. As was mentioned before, they are a very stiff mountaineering boot and aren't for everyone. I loved em though :bash:

:yeah: basically that's it in a nutshell. I loved em. Put my life on the line with em in the high country. Then all of a sudden they went to crap. Chinese probably bought them.
