Title: Cleman Mt scouting pictures
Post by: elkontherun on July 18, 2016, 03:53:22 PM
Drove over yesterday morning.  Seen around 90 sheep and about 50 of those were rams.  Only seen one or 2 that I would be very interested in.

And one more.  This is the best ram we seen.  Thought he might go 160?

A 160 class's ram is a good representation of the unit.

Take a 3 day weekend if you can swing it and give yourself 3 days to learn the nooks and crannies on the front side all the way from Sanford on over to the east. It will enable you to see more sheep come fall time. Also, keep in mind that there's a few outliers that hang out off of 410 in the summer time 10-20 mIles from the Y.

90 sheep is about 1/3 of the population of the herd.

That ram is pretty heavy.   Would like to get a better look at him.
Oh I envy you........

Any interest in having your hunt filmed for free? See this forum I posted earlier this year: http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,197351.0.html (http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,197351.0.html)

I'd be willing to help scout as well! I have nice cameras to document the sheep too. Just want to experience a sheep hunt and I live next door. Let me know if you're interested!
