I'm looking at putting a bipod on a Remington 7600 and the only option that I can find is a barrel mount, don't really want to go that route because it might screw up the accuracy. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Having owner a few Rem pumps 141/760/7600 shooting sticks are the way to go.
I suppose you could get a synthetic forend and install a mounting lug on it but then you'd have to rack he bipod at the same time.
You could cut back the forend and clamp one of the barrel ones on the forend guide rod.
Shooting sticks still sound like the better option.
