Holy smokes. Ok, so I set up my cams to monitor elk activity ahead of the season for my bull tag and one of them simply would not load test pics after setting it up. Come to find out (after getting home) that my wife had accidentally reformatted the SD card while monkeying with it on her computer, and I can see that cam is not going to be collecting pics I'll be able to download. :P
So, how does one go about reformatting an SD card to work in the game cam again? And will a brand new card work in the cam or do I need to do something to format it first?

It should still work in the cam. If you need to the cam usually has a format card option.

Look through the cameras booklet. Every trail camera I've owned has a format option and most cameras won't work unless you format each new card.

very simple right click your windows tab bottom left of computer while sd card is in the computer click file search. then right click that sd card you want to format. there is a format tab click it and then click ok it will take a couple seconds. really easy to do. had the same problem a couple days ago on a camera that I had soaking for 4 months and no pics! super pissed off!
