This, near 7 foot, color-phase chocolate black bear was harvested near Withrop during general season. The bear has a tremendous coat on him and was obviously in his prime by both his condition and the numerous scars on his face. The pose is one of my favorites for bear rugs which is a 'slack jawed' or 'relaxed' open mouth forms along with triple felting and suede backing. Congrats to the owner of this great trophy bear and thank you for the work. By far the best bruin that came through my doors this year and wanted to show some pics. Joel - BRT

Great work, Joel. I have been wanting to do this for a very long time. I will have to harvest my first bear, of course, but someday I will have such a piece. Thank you for showing!
