Title: Tribal season?
Post by: CP on August 04, 2016, 07:41:55 AM
Did a tribal season open on Aug 1 in the Teanaway area?  The reason I ask is there an awful lot of activity going on for an area with only a few permits.

Maybe bears and the 30 antlerless permits explains it, but it’s a big area and there is a lot of road hunting going on.  Do people road hunt for bear?

Most tribal big game seasons open August 1st.  Those tribes that promulgate regulations.

Pretty sure tribal folks can kill bulls year round. Not sure if that's land they can hunt but there's no closed bull season. Now that the antlers are pretty much done growing, that probably attracts them.
