Title: blind-less hunting

I'm looking at some of the reservation and FFH sites for waterfowl. Many say no hunting blinds allowed or provided.  How exactly do you hunt geese or ducks without blinds? Especially since these areas are open farm fields.

Am I missing something?  Also, I noticed a bit of the Skagit sites aren't there like last year. I had a site I really liked and it's a shame it's gone now.

Try a ghillie suite, my only advice would be to wear a face mask instead of leaving the hat strands dangling in front of your face.

my guess would be "no permanent blinds?"  i can't imagine they would have a problem with a guy setting up a sheet of burlap or netting, or using a layout blind.

I hunted like that for many years and still do sometimes.

I got a low to the ground Predator hunting chair, a camo tarp say 5X6 Or a sheet of shadow grass.
Put the tarp where you want to sit near water ,lay it out. put your chair on the edge about 12 inches from edge. Throw the gear you want at hand around your chair. When ready to hunt sit down and pull the tarp over your lap. If natural stuff laying around put some of that around you.

Sitting the chair on the tarp keeps it from sinking in soft soil. and gives a clean spot for gear.

I leave enough tarp to cover my head if need be. My dog sits between my legs also under the tarp. face mask ,camo , top, and gloves.  Killed many ducks with this.

If there is a bush or fence line to put your back against, all the better.  :tup:

Talk to the public land parasites that show up five minutes before shooting time to blast at ducks heading toward legit hunter's spreads. Seems like they have the whole no blind thing figured out.

a simple chair and camo tarp huh? I thought it would need to be more...camouflaged? lol

I'm also looking for a kayak. I thought about anchoring it just a bit off shore then covering it with something. Then pop up and bang!
