One of those issues when the feds control huge amounts of land in a state.

Post by: bigtex on August 05, 2016, 09:31:40 PM: The issue in that article is hunting on national wildlife refuges, which under federal law are actually closed to all hunting and all access unless the government opens it to such uses. Would you rather have no access? No ability to hunt at all?

The feds have transferred millions of acres of federal lands to state and tribal entities in the past couple decades in Alaska, the amount of federal public lands is nowhere near what it used to be. Just a couple weeks ago BLM transferred a million acres of BLM lands in AK to a local tribe. BLM doesn't even have half a million acres in WA....

Gotta keep that name out there so they can continue to fleece the suckers.
