Title: Where are all of the fish?
Post by: bb76 on August 11, 2016, 06:58:44 PM
I've been at Clear Lake and Rimrock Lake for the past 2 days. There hasn't been any action. I've tried worms, kastmaster, mepps 0, crickets, even power bait. Nothing seems to be working. I fished the west end of Rimrock from my kayaks this morning. Bank fished Clear Lake in the afternoon and evening. Any thoughts?

Put a night crawler at the bottom off of the point on the backside of rimrock. Should catch a trout or sucker doing that.

Have not checked the regs yet but how is the fishing in the N. S. fork of the river?  Thinking of shooting up and camping on one of the forks but haven't a clue to fishing the river?

We just fished Clear Lake the last few days. Only caught about 15 fish in three trips out. One cut throat and one bull trout. Released all but a few rainbows the kids wanted to keep. Fishing worms on wedding rings with pop gear. I heard they were slaying them at Dog Lake but it was also very crowded.
