Fortunately our business has been busy with this economy. We have been working a lot lately and we decided we needed to take a day for some fun. Fortune continued as we were both able to take nice bobcats today. Mine is over 20lbs and my dads is around 13. We are both super stoked. I shot mine with my Tikka .223 and my dad took his with is Remmy 22-250. I am thinking of what style of full body mount I want to do mine in. He is gorgeous. I'm thinking of some wood and having him swatting at a quail. They look a little stiff in the pics, riggy set in quick and since we forgot our camera were not able to take pics until this afternoon.

That pose where it is sitting up by the rifle is a nice pose, hanging from the wall on a nice piece of drift wood. Just my :twocents:

Nice job! how bout some details. did you call them in? ecaller or mouth? sounds? again gret job.
-
very nice kitty kats. Glad you all had a good day.

Thanks guys! No tricks, just some patience and help from a good friend from the site. They are very curious critters, a guy can call one in with just a squeaker some patience and a little luck doesn't hurt either. I can't wait to get him mounted. The wife even acted a little excited :o

way to go guys

C'mon, we need a hunting story to go with some great pics of some awesome cats!
-
I know the story is pretty vague ;) but there is a saying... Loose lips sink ships. Guys have to be pretty careful what they put on the internet these days. There are reasons why guys don't post field photos, a lot of guys are pretty good at nailing locations from a pic. I just wanted to share some pictures from an awesome experience. I will throw in, mine was shot @ about 150 yards, and my dads was shot at around 40. :)

I say enjoy the photos of two nice kitties and not try to pry so much. If he wanted to share specifics he probably would have in the first post. Appears they just want to share a few pics of their success and I can respect that.
I know, why dont we have mine and your dads mounted nursing on yours. :chuckle:

Nice cats. Here is my cat. I did a full body mount on him, he was 28 lbs.

Nice lookin mount! A buddy of mine owns Blackwater Trading. He does some of the best fish replicas around. He has a huge pile of cool wood he has collected for mounts. I going to bug him and see if he'll let me dig through his stash and make me a deal on a cool chunk of wood for my mount.

Were they taken on the same calling stand? Were they called in? Those are the only details I think we are looking for? No matter what, it is pretty cool.
